About Little Lives

A Collaborative effort

Little Lives is a project presented by Miles Orion Butler and made up of musicians and artists dedicated to using the tools they have to spread hope, change, peace, love, awareness, and activism. Ranging from Philly's own poet and singer Ursula Rucker (The Roots), Jaron Olevsky (Amos Lee), Birdie Busch, DM Hotep (The Sun Ra Arkestra) and many other amazing artists.

Little Lives is a powerful force looking to spread hope and community through song.

Little Lives is excited to announce their first album Love More. This album, produced by Brendan McGeehan, is a collection of songs rooted in our ever changing times. The songs weave vivid imagery with sweeping harmonies and instrumentation inspiring reflection. To live for a better day. These songs are connected to global ideas of togetherness while pushing against a greed driven existence.

Little Lives is Miles Orion Butler, an artist, activist, and social entrepreneur. Miles is the co-founder of Germantown Espresso Bar and Many Hands Coffee Co.  Two community centric coffee companies. Nearly everyone who contributed to Love More was a result from a chance connection over coffee and conversation at the espresso bar. Miles is also the co-founder and former music director of Songs in the Key of Free, a non-profit that brings songwriting and musicianship workshops to prisons in the Philadelphia area. The collective was founded on a concept of collaboration and connectedness through song.

Little Lives' first album Love More features an amazing and powerful lineup of musicians and artists. Each artist brought their heart and talents to their performance.

We hope to connect with you through song and heart
